My name is Chris Rippey. I am a third-generation arborist who lives in Sedalia, Missouri. I began my career in arboriculture at the age of 16 when I started working with my dad at his tree service company. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience in the field, including serving as an Arborist at Stanford University for 14 years and operating my own tree care company in California. Additionally, I was the Arborist for Seattle Parks for 6 years. I have dedicated many hours to volunteering for tree organizations, including participating six times in a tree research fundraising bike ride known as the Britton Fund Ride. I also created the Pacific North-West Tree Failure Database and served as the past Secretary of the Pacific North-West chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture (PNW-ISA). In 2019, I was honored to be named Arborist of the Year by the Pacific North-West chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture. My professional credentials include being an American Society of Consulting Arborist (ASCA), Registered Consulting Arborist (#633), ASCA Tree and Plant Appraisal Qualified, ISA Board Certified Master Arborist (7672-BUTM), ISA Urban Forestry Professional, Utility Specialist, Certified Tree Worker, ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ), and a Missouri Department of Agriculture, Commercial Pest Applicator (C26466).
